Engaging Invigorate’s gain compensation doesn’t seem to me to accurately adjust the output gain to match the input gain, either by using my ears or by using various meters. There appears to be a significantly higher output level even with gain compensation engaged. Am I just fooled by the amazing job the plugin does of making things sound louder?
I use the Learn function, and then switch Bypass on and off to listen to/observe the gain differences. When I turn Gain Compensation off, the volume does jump significantly on several presets, so I know it is at least trying!
