        Hello all

I recently bought a used Rose pedal and I love the sounds. Pedal is like new and seems to work correctly except I am not able to change preset banks. I followed instructions videos and read manual and tried both ways – via preset button and footswitches and I am not able to change the bank.. the Shape button and the ladder next to it are not lit and pressing the shape button does nothing.. after a while the pedal leaves the preset mode and the shape button works again normally.. I did reset to factory settings few times but no change.. any ideas? maybe there is firmware update I can try?

        thanks Martin

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

To clarify, once you are in preset mode you then press and hold the hotswitch to enter the bank select mode? This is shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I74Q0VGf0N8

If you could record a short video and send it to support@eventideaudio.com that would be helpful.

            Hi

thanks! I did send the email with short clip showing the problem.

BTW I use a Cioks SOL power supply with up to 660mA per each output so its not a power related issue.

            thanks Martin

could it have an older firmware (pre-banks)?

Was there a pre banks firmware?!? I connected it to the manager today and indeed it had the very first version of firmware. I did try to update it but after about 10 minutes I thought it froze so I unplugged the pedal.. now it doesn’t work at all – upon applying power few leds light up and then nothing.. and the manager no longer recognizes it.. any ideas?

                thanks!

Success! Hotswitch + Phi while booting did the trick.. firmware update was successful on second try and now all works fine, thanks!

hmm seems after the update another issue arose.. I was using the Hotone Amprero dual footswitch before (dual momentary switch) and it worked perfectly with the old firmware. With the new one it doesn’t do anything and I can’t assign it to do any function – as if the Rose couldn’t recognize that switcher. Weird as it worked fine before.. Is there an explanation to this?

Check to see that you have the EXP jack set to see the switcher (AUX, rather than MIDI or EXP etc) and then check to see that the settings are right: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/uploads/2021/09/Rose-QRG-Rv21.pdf

Of course I forgot to set the EXP jack to AUX! Works fine now.. Thanks!!
