We meet again, sir. How is your Bypass mode set up (Buffer / Relay / Input Kill / Kill-Dry)?

In your situation, I’m considering that Mix question at TGP, and that you’re probably running Rose front-of-amp. You don’t want Kill Dry (bottom / 5th LED lit in combination with any other LED in that ladder).
If you’re running sends & returns to a mixer, or parallel amp loop, that’s a different story, and another approach. But assuming my guesses are correct here …
There are actually 6 Bypass modes:
- Buffer (2nd LED)
- Buffer + Kill Dry (2nd & 5th LED)
- Relay (3rd LED)
- Relay + Kill Dry (3rd & 5th LED)
- Input Kill (4th LED)
- Input Kill + Kill Dry (4th & 5th LED)
ACTIVE + the PHI button for Bypass select mode. Press PRESET to cycle through the 6 choices (the 1st / top LED isn’t involved here). Try out the 2nd, 3rd & 4th LED positions. Make sure that bottom / 5th LED stays unlit. Press Active to lock in the setting.
Now your EXP -> MIX mapping (earlier post) should work. As for the spillover / trails … I’m not sure if you meant using the MIX mapping, or when Rose is bypassed. Mix is positioned after all the delay processing, so you cut out the trails when you pull back to dry.
Bypass mode is the default (2nd LED). I believe your best bet is Input Kill (4th LED). One thing you might notice in Bypass … the delay structure is still running underneath.

Good morning,,,
Thank you for all your help,,, It is really appreciated..
Ive tried every which way to get this to work for me. I finally gave up on the Rose.
I love the core sound,,, but that silly manual and interface is too smart for me.
I had time to mess with it yesterday to really dial the pedal in and its just not going to work…
It took me less than 5 minutes to do exactly as needed on the Timeline. It’s a no brainer.
Maybe Eventide will come up with a better/intuitive interface for others like myself someday.
Thanks again you help,,, I will put the Rose on back burner for some other use someday, or sell it. This is the 3rd attempt for live applications.
I erased the Thread on TGP,
Regards,
Corbin
