I will sync taptempo between SPACE and MODFACTOR. What can I do?

It would help if you describe your setup a little more:

          – Is there any other devices conected before, after, or in between those 2 ?

          – In what order are they?

In any case both could set tempo from a midi clock, but according to p.:32 of the "space" manual and p.: 27 of the "modfactor" manual only the "space" could be used as a clock source.  You will then want to put the "space" before the "modfactor", unless you have something else that could generate the midi clock.

          – For the "space" you will then set [MIDICLK OUT]  -> ON. See page 37 of the space manual. (And MIDI Output to XMT)

          – For the "modfactor" you will set [MIDICLK] -> ON.  See page 35 of the modfactor manual.

Then you need a single midi cable from the output of the space to the input of the "modfactor".

Note: It is not necessary to connect the stompbox in the same order for midi connection and audio signal. Although the space need to be first midiwise, it could also be connected last regarding the audio signal.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply! It helped
but now there is another problem:

It would help if you describe your setup a
            little more:

            • In what order are they?

Yes, there is an other device before. At
first I use a BEHRINGER FCB 1010 Midi Foot Controller, after it the
„space“ and at last the „modfactor“ is the order of the midi
connection. I use the midi foot controller for changing presets in
„space“ and „modfactor“ and MIDI continuous dates for
            Knob0-Mix on „space“ and Knob0-Intensity on „modfactor“.

In any case both could set tempo from a midi
clock, but according to p.:32 of the "space" manual and p.:

something else that could generate the midi clock.

            – For the "space" you will then set
[MIDICLK OUT]  -> ON. See page 37 of the space manual. (And
            MIDI Output to XMT)

            – For the "modfactor" you will set
[MIDICLK] -> ON.  See page 35 of the modfactor manual.

I have done it and tempo
change between space and modfactor works! Thanks!

But now the preset change only
works from the midi foot controller to the space and never works
with the modfactor, because MIDI Output on „space“ is set to XMT.

            By sending preset changes from
footcontroller to „space“, the tempo of „space“ preset
changes the tempo in the „modfactor“, that´s all right but the
preset never changes with it but stays the same. Why is that?

So what can I do to use the
midi footcontroller for sending preset changes AND MIDI continuous
dates to both stompboxes and after it setting sync tap tempo by
„space“ and „modfactor“ by using tap tempo by „Space“?

            My MIDI settings:

            BEHRINGER FCB1010 Midi Foot
            Controller:

            Midi Channel: 1

            Eventide Space:

            XMT Channel: 2

            CTL XMT: off

            PGM XMT: off

            OUTPUT: XMT

            MIDICLK IN: off

            MIDICLK OUT: on

            CLK Filter: off

            Eventide: Modfactor:

            RCV Channel: 1

            XMT Channel: 2

            CTL XMT: off

            PGM XMT: off

            OUTPUT: XMT

            CLK IN: on

            CLK OUT: off

            CLK Filter: off

            With friendly greetings

Ok, there's 2 possible configurations for that:

You could first set both stompbox (modfactor and space) to midi thru. The FCB1010 will then be able to control both. You will then have to use the FCB1010 for the tap tempo too.

On the FCB1010 you have to set one switch as "momentary" and send a value of 127 for the same CC you will chose to control the Tap Tempo parameter on both stompbox. Read the "[RCV CTL] Receive Coutinuous Control messages" section of both manuals about this.

The FCB1010 will be able to control the tap tempo of both stompbox simultaneously once the "TAP" destination is set correctly on both the space and modfactor.

For the second option you will need a midi splitter/merger. Please refer to this excellent post about how to do this:

I see potential for a third option.  The Behringer FCB1010 can be set up to merge MIDI In data with the pedalboard-generated MIDI messages, and send them both to MIDI Out.  See the 2.2.3 Global Configuration page for details.

Space [XMT]  ->  FCB1010 [MIDI Merge enabled]  ->  ModFactor [THRU]  ->  back to Space MIDI In

Space could still generate MIDI Clock, passed through the FCB1010, and on to ModFactor.  The FCB1010 could generate Program Changes and MIDI CC messages for the ModFactor, and on to Space.  Since Space is effectively "blocked" by the XMT setting, there shouldn't be an infinite MIDI loop (set up by the closed circle of MIDI connections).

That's the theory, anyway.  It's something to try out before spending money on MIDI splitters / merge boxes.  I have an FCB1010 here – set up in a somewhat similar fashion – but I use a master external MIDI Clock outside the pedalboard, with everything else set up to THRU.
