A couple of issues / suggestions / feature requests after first few hours with Tricerachorus Pedal in the context of a synth insert FX:
1. While I understand the intention of simplicity that puts Mix and Rate as primary parameters and the envelope followers as secondary parameters, I find it really counterproductive for actually using the envelope followers. It would be so much easier to work with for me if I I could use first two knobs for the rate and its envelope follower on the primary layer and for the mix and its envelope follower on the secondary layer. To effectively find the precise combination of the rate (or mix) and its envelope follower for a particular sound I simply need to use two hands and work with the rate (or mix) and its envelope follower at the same time. It’s much more important that having access to mix and rate at the same time.
2. I might like to use the catch up mode for knobs, but the implementation of the visual feedback is not helping me much. There is 5 LEDs, why use only the LED 1 and LED 5 to indicate the current value of the parameter? It would be more intuitive and faster to work with if all the LEDs were used, so that the position of the knob from 0 to 127 would be indicated as 9 positions – LED 1, 1+2, 2, 2+3, 3, 3+4, 4, 4+5, 5.
3. The filter knob has reverse polarity to pretty much all the other gear I have. I would love to invert it, so that going CW would do the HPF thing and going CCW would do the LPF thing.

Hello,
Thanks for your post. Sorry, but the dot9 pedals are not a platform where there are feature changes and updates, they are “feature complete” and the parameters have been set from the product designer.
For numbers 1 and 3, I think using a MIDI controller would be a good solution. If you have a flexible MIDI controller, you can reorder the parameter however you like. You could also potentially reverse the direction of the filter knob depending on which controller you are using.
You could also use a computer or iPad with H90 Control to adjust the parameters.

Yeah, sure, I don’t expect this would get implemented, although obviously I wish it would 🙂
Hopefully at least these are some ideas others might resonate with or something to be considered for future products.
