        Hi all,

I use a Tricerachorus in the stereo loop of my H90. The H90 is wired with my other pedals into an RJM PBC/6X.

I run a simple stereo setup with this. The H90 is always last in the chain, and the stereo out of the PBC/6X goes through some Neutrik feedthrough jacks to either a Strymon Iridium + Scarlett interface (at home) or a pair of Quilter Toneblock 202s, each with a 4×12 (at rehearsal).

My Tricerachorus will occasionally change routing positions within an H90 program, but I have a single always-on setting for the Triceachorus itself. My intention is to have audible overall detune, but with the actual chorusing limited just to the right side and applied rather heavily to maximize the perceived width/dimension of the stereo spread. Here’s that setting:

However, both at home and practice, the right side is audibly louder than the left, even with *NO* gain change settings on the Tricerachorus, the H90’s stereo insert settings, or anything in the PBC/6x. Here’s a quick waveform test I did playing the same chords, first with chorus depth at at 70 L / 80 R and then at 0 L / 80 R. To eliminate other variables, the signal path here is just mono guitar > H90 in with algos bypassed but program still on > Tricerachorus in H90 stereo insert > H90 stereo out > Iridium stereo I/O > Scarlett:

Is this expected behavior for the pedal? That is, do I need to tweak the L and/or Center chorus depth to ensure consistent stereo channel output volume when using the Tricerachorus? To be clear, the stereo channel volume is at expected unity when running the above chain with the Tricerachorus bypassed.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the novel 🙂

          Hello,

The L/R channels should be relatively balanced regardless off the depth setting for each voice.

How is the TriceraChorus connected to the stereo loop of the H90? Are you using a Dual Mono TS > TRS cable from H90 outputs 3-4 into the TRS input of the TriceraChorus?

Does the volume balance change if you adjust the depth of the L or C voice?

If you turn the R depth to 0 and the L depth to 80, are you perceiving the left channel louder?
