  hello!
  
  I have a 2nd hand eclipse, and the knob seems to be twirling slightly off-axis if that makes sense..
  
  I read on the forum that the little allen bolts can be adjusted by a 1/16" allen key
  
  But what exactly do those little bolts adjust/do ?

  There are two Allen screws that clamp the knob to the shaft.
  
  They can be adjusted to improve the knob's centering (by trial and error).
  
  If this doesn't work, it would suggest that the unit has been dropped and damaged the control.

  thanks nick, the knob still works fine, i just noticed my friend's new eclipse had a more centered knob
  
  is the knob removable if i completely loosen the allen screws then?
  
  I can then see if the shaft spins correctly, and work out if the unit had indeed been damaged

  Yes – if you loosen both Allen screws, you can remove the knob.
  
  Most likely just a matter of tuning the screws.
