        Hi, I was testing this system to check how can I use the fw connection of the h8000 in my recording system, which is based on a Fireface 800.

        I have the fw cable connected from the pc to the H8000 and from it to the Rme.

        The h8000 works well, but I can't have the Rme working.

        The Rme icon shows up but there is no way to go into the control panel and the host light shows there is no connection with the pc ( even if something is actually happening as the Rme icon says).

          First thing to try is different cables. Then, try connecting directly rather than daisy-chaining.

          You should probably contact Rme to discuss their equipment.

            Ok,
            I have it finally sorted out with some mojo.
            All is fine, at the moment I can confirm the setup is working as supposed to.
            Now it's just a matter of how to benefit from this routing potential.

            waiting to get routing 2.8 usable.
