I am a guitarist and I am considering using both my GTR 4000 and H 7600 in the rack and use effects from each I hooked them up and got some funny things going on audio in on the 7600 out to 4000 in then back out to my Marshall preamp effects loop.the 4000 wont do any thing if I bypass the 7600 and when I dont bypass it dont sound right how do I get control of these 2 units. All in and out levels are 100% and so is mix. Midi thru is the route for that.

                                         Please help  Thx    Richard

Sorry – not at all clear what your problem is. You will need to explain how the units are connected, and then give a detailed description of what you are hearing.

OK Marshall JMP 1 preamp effects loop send out to 7600 analog ins then the analog outs to the analog ins of the 4000 then the analog outs to the Marshall preamp effects return Midi from Marshall JMP1 preamp to 7600 midi in – Midi thru out to 4000 Midi in.  When I push the bypass button on the 7600 it mutes everything when bypass is off the light flashes between mute and bypass chopping up the audio unusable and noise floor is very high.

                                                                       Thanks    Richard

I'm going to guess that you are using the 1/4 analog inputs on the 7600. Since it has no 1/4" output, these cannot be bypassed by relay, so they mute when you bypass it. (See p.37 in the UM). The solution here is to use "electronic bypass" on the 7600.

But, I have no ideas on the flashing between mute and bypass. This sounds like some kind of hardware problem. Sorry.

Checksum error did the fix on the 4000 by fix internal then later when powered back on it appeared again. I need to replace battery? what type of battery and are they the same on both the 4000 and 7600. In answer to the previous response was using XLR on all connections 1/4 trs to xlr cable on marshall then straight xlr between the 2 units.

                                  Thanks    Richard Travis
