      Hi!

I´ve just bought an Eclipse, wich is version 3.0. I would like to know how should i proceed to upgrade it do V4 using a memory card.

      Thanks!

        Thanks!

My Eclipse doesn´t have “Made In USA” written on it. Could you tell me why? In all the Eclipses pics i´ve seen over the internet, on the back there is “Made In USA” written on the sticker where the serial number goes. In mine, there is no “Made In USA” written. Are all the Eclipses US made, or there are some years where the production was made in another place? I´ve attached a picture so you can check it out.

        Thanks for your help!

As far as I know, they are all US made (some had imported metalwork). Probably just changed the sticker.

Ok, thanks. I´ll update the Eclipse using a Compact Flash Card. What are the sizes that work? I´ve read that the modern ones with over 1gb will not work with the Eclipse, and that i should stick with the ones between 512mb-1024mb. Is that correct? Are there any other details i should consider before buying a Compact Flash Card to do the update?

V3 will not support the larger sizes, so keep it under 1G. I suggest that you use a new unused card, and do not try and format it.

I also suggest you study "How to Update Eventide Rackmount Audio Units" carefully before starting.

I tried like you said, and it worked, thank you. I just got some presets from a friend, and i would like to use it on my Eclipse but i don´t know how to do it. Could you tell me how?Do i just copy the files he sent me to a Compact Flash Card? And how do i copy those presets from the Compact Flash Card to my Eclipse?

I would suggest that you have your friend save them to a card and either send you the card or a .zip file of the card whose contents you can then copy to your card.

Alternatively save (any) preset to your card, and then put it in a computer (with a suitable reader) and put the new presets in the same place as the one you saved.

Ok, thanks Nick! He sent me a .zip file. After i´ve copied the files to the CF Card, how do i load them on the Eclipse?

Assuming you have copied everything correctly, including any folders (directories), the presets shou;ld be visible as presets on the card (see UM for info about this).

If this does not work you should have your friend send you his actual card and tell you what to do.
