… I have a List called “All Algos In Order” where the first 68 Programs each contain just Preset A of a single algorithm, in the order in which they are listed in the manual. Preset B is “Thru”…
I did the same for a PatchStorage upload called Algo Programmer’s Toolkit. I stopped updating it online at 64, as ET introduced their own defaults for each algorithm. I do prefer using my own for starting from scratch, though. ‘Cleaner’ with no hidden mappings, and organized in its own List, much like your own.
… I have a different List that I can copy and paste to of “current” sounds I am actually using in my work…
I believe it was @apalazzolo that I first saw use this trick. He explained the process much better than I will here.
Basically, your ‘Current Destination’ List is loaded into the H90. Move from the Edit tab to Programs tab in H90 Control, and use your ‘All Algos In Order’ within the search box. Then (on the left), progress though each INIT Program to build the new ‘Current Destination’ List – from the ‘All Algos In Order’ Programs on the right side.
Just remember to hit the Save icon (lower-left of ‘Current Destination’ box) each time you auto-load the next Program. Beats shifting Lists and a bunch of Copy / Paste operations.
… I also wish you could Drag & Drop Programs around in a List.
I’ve seen enough requests & replies to think that improvements are up there in the priority list.
Anyway, interesting to hear how others are doing their patch management!
Mine is a mess. I am a compulsive List-aholic. It’s both a blessing & a curse to have “unlimited” Program Lists.
I do have 100% finalized Lists, categorized for covers, general live use, etc. But then there are all 99 Program ‘concept’ Lists, where I take an algorithm or pair as far as I can possibly go, or try to emulate some vintage unit. PatchStorage upload Lists (mainly so I don’t repeat myself). Partial ‘raw Idea’ Lists. Experimental. A few for just for granular-esque …
Appropriately re-named Lists become essential. Now I’m at the point of having to scroll quite a bit just to find what I’m looking for. This would be a great place to mention performing the occasional full backup in H90 Control.
