Hi again,
What audio interface are you using? For example, if I use my H9000 connected to my Apollo via ADAT, I can monitor the H9000’s effects using the audio interface’s software rather than a DAW, and this gives very low latency for tracking/monitoring while using effects.
The H9000 has over 1,600 algorithms. It offers many more effects than our plug-in collection. Many of these algorithms are very sought after, classic Eventide sounds that you can only get from this machine and are not available as plug-ins.
There are many I/O variations for the algorithms: quad, dual processors, 5.1, etc. You can view the full list of algorithms here, it is organized by type: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h9000/2.2.11/content/appendix/algorithms/index.html
I’m not sure what you mean by your routing question, can you please elaborate? The answer is probably yes, the routing is extremely flexible.
Yes, you can accomplish a lot with a computer and plug-ins but the H9000 is a dedicated hardware device with best in class audio convertors and legendary sounds that are not available anywhere else.
