Whilst I can appreciate that Newfangied software plugins and synths are not part of the Anthology, why is a product sold has “the complete anthology” not including a new product that sits within that universe, fission which was later renamed Physion was added without a distinct “no” – being an anthology owner – I am rather mortified to find that to obtain something – when previous product has just mention were added gratis – I have to pay $78 for a limited time ! – or pay anything at all – but simply – why the limited time attribute – a anthology owner should have this discount without “limited time” attributes attached.
This is intended for Eventide Staff.

There is no crossgrade/discount for Anthology owners. Current Temperance Lite users can crossgrade to Temperance Pro for $79 for a limited time.
You can download Temperance Lite for free here: https://www.eventideaudio.com/plug-ins/temperance-lite/

Hello,
In Live, you need to route the “MIDI TO” output of your MIDI track to the audio track that has Temperance Pro loaded.
Please see my screenshot below and let me know if you’re able to get that to work.

Amazing plug-in. Suits my style so well. Will wish upon a star that some form of it can migrate to the H90.

Temperance lite is a most musical plugin. I’m composing music for a CD right now based entirely on bird calls and songs. The reason i tried Temperance is because i have built a choir from 4 tracks of the very harsh calls of crowned cranes. The Tracks were pitched to an A7 chord. I tried every reverb i own to get them to meld, but nothing worked, including the extremely weird reverbs in Ableton. Today I added Temperance to the tracks, highlighting A, C#, E, G# while keeping the spread and the reverb amount quite tight. just WOW. A heavenly choir built from a bunch of squawking birds.

Hey! Can anyone who owns a rack unit tell me if I can achieve the “Resoverb” preset sound on the H8000(onwards) using Temperance Pro?
They really seem like they are in the same ball park sonically.
The Resoverb preset is the lushest melodic resonant reverb I have heard but sadly I no longer own a rack mount unit. If the plugin can achieve the same results that would be amazing.
thanks

Hi, thanks for your question.
It sounds like you are referring to “Reso-Verb”.

I just had a quick listen to this preset and I think you will be pleased with what Temperance has to offer. The resonators in Reso>Verb has a Karplus Strong style sound, while Temperance can be thought of as more of a bell or chime like sound
The H8000 algorithm is a resonator feeding into a reverb, but when you use Temperance, the reverb is made of the resonators, so it is quite a different approach that allows for much more flexibility and creativity.
My best suggestion would be using the free trial of the plug-in and seeing how you like it. There are some incredibly lush reverb sounds to be found in either the Lite or Pro version of Temperance.

I just bought the product and read the guide. Some quick questions.
Is there a way to have the selected notes tempered exclusively, the others dropped?
Would be fun to set octave ranges on manual tempering as midi can do, though both high and low limits would be interesting.
Is there a way for the range slider to exclude all reverb outside the limit rather than exclude tempering of it? I suppose the hpf and lpf can be used, but with one set by note and the other by frequency this is math.
Thank you, it sounds great, five minutes of demo and I bought it.

Hey stxmahn,
Thanks for checking out Temperance Pro. For the first question, if you’re asking if you can select individual notes to Temper, such as C4 and D6 for instance, no there isn’t a way to do that from the Manual Tab. They repeat across all octaves and you can use the Temper Range Sliders to move this Tempering window up and down the spectrum. Using MIDI and disabling Octave Repeat would allow you to accomplish this (via MIDI of course).
For the second questions, yes you would use the Low and High Cut filters to exclude all reverb to a specific range. Maybe we could add the ability to enter these ranges in note values in a future update, good suggestion. As a work around you could move the Range Slider to a specific note, then drag the Low or High Cut filter to the same location and fine tune to taste.
Hope you’re liking the plug-in.

I’m enjoying the sounds and options, really like it. Over the weekend I started looking at midi control of note, chord and scale settings. I didn’t see drop-downs for these. Is there some doc on how to set a key and scale, notes with midi?
Thank you

Is there some more extensive doc on the midi implementation? I’d like to set chords or scales, etc, as done manually. Or load presets where I can store this. All I can see is setting notes, that would be tedious. There are some parms such as 42 – midi cc0 64. Are these user assignable to chords etc, or load a preset. Loading presets would be most encompassing. I really like the product but need realtime control and can’t find how many values are exposed. Ideas? Thank you.

Hello,
There is no further documentation besides the plug-in User Guide here: https://www.eventideaudio.com/downloads/?product=Temperance+Pro
The MIDI mode on Temperance Pro just responds to whatever MIDI notes you send it. There is no CC implementation besides CC 64 for note sustain.
Depending on what DAW you are using, you should be able to program chords, notes in groups of scales, etc from the DAW.
Presets cannot be loaded via MIDI.
