I upgraded my H9000R using the 3.0.22.79 USB firmware and it is working fine. The only hiccup was when the update completed and the unit rebooted, it was no longer visible in Emote. I did a hard reboot (power cycle) and all is well.

If I read your post correctly, you are trying the update as an online operation? Didn’t even realize this was an option. I would do a fresh download of the USB firmware and try again. Since I have a 9000R, I had to be online for Emote to work. When I connected to the recovery device in Emote as per the recovery instructions for a H9000R, there was no option for an online update as I recall. It prompted me to install the firmware it found on the USB.
