FYI same problem with the recently introduced Temperance Lite. Mac Studio M2, AU plugin. As soon as it’s placed on a channel it consumes about 20% CPU of one core. I’m guessing whatever causes it is part of Eventide’s standard code rather than just a specific plugin. Shame that you didn’t hear back from support. Like you, I like the look of the plugin but I’m not going to risk it on my projects.
