Delay algorithms feature request: When controlling parameters like Delay Time with an expression pedal, there seems to be a given (non-adjustable) ‘lag time’ which slows down the time of the expression pedal’s sweep. The length of this ‘lag time’ seems to be different in each Delay algorithm. For instance, Bouquet Delay’s Delay Time responds to expression pedal sweeps very fast, while the Delay Time in Tape Delay responds significantly slower. I’m assuming this is by design, to realistically emulate changes of motor speed in certain tape echo machines (like Roland Space Echo). However, this also limits more creative use of the expression pedal – for instance: when certain song/BPM would benefit from faster sweep, or when trying to emulate faster changes of playback head’s position in Echoplex, etc etc. It’d be great if all Delay algorithms had an adjustable ‘Expression Pedal Lag Time’ parameter (essentially similar to ‘Boil’ and ‘Break’ parameters), which could be saved with presets. 🙏

Example of a longer ‘lag time’ when making a fast transition from ‘heel down’ position to ‘toes down’
