I use a specific program for several songs and switch between them with my Morningstar MC4 Pro MIDI switcher. Sometimes I want Preset A to be active and Preset B to be inactive. Other times it should be the other way around, and still other times both should be active. I load the program using the corresponding PC number (which works), but I can’t seem to control the active/bypass state of the two presets using CC commands. I’m trying to do this with A Act/Byp (M) and B Act/Byp (M). But the program always appears in the state it was saved in, not as the CC commands require.

What am I doing wrong? Does anyone know a solution?

Have you got more than one message being sent on each press on the MC4?

I would have 3 messages per press – PC to select the Programme, then 2 x CCs to put the presets into the state you want them to be in.  You have set the CC#s for the corresponding actions on the H90?

A PC command and 1 or 2 CC commands… (of course I set the CCs)
I found this thread in the meantime, which describes the problem. Apparently, it still hasn’t been fixed. 🙁

              Hello Sigitar,

This may be due a known issue with simultaneous PC and CC messages being sent at the time. Eventide will be working on a fix for this. We have confirmed that a simultaneous MIDI PC+CC will work correctly on the previous firmware version 1.8.6. If you’d like to downgrade your pedal, please email support@eventide.com and they will help you do that. Another option is saving versions of the program with the presets activated in the necessary states; not optimal but functional. When the fix has been released we’ll communicate it in the forums.

                Thanks for the explanation.

I’ll use the alternative workaround. Luckily, there’s plenty of storage space available.
