I would first format the card in Eclipse, under SETUP.
There are 2 methods to update the system:
-using a PC and a serial cable
-using a PC + an USB compact flash card reader (faster)
download the zipped archive named "Eclipse Software Version 3.51"
unzip it and copy the files to the card directly. DON'T use any folder! Juat copy them to the card as they are.
Insert the card and power the unit on while pressing & holding the 1 key.
