you can try formatting the card on the H8000. This is available under SETUP > SERVICE: Then try the update again. We have seen cards that work fine with presets (storing/loading) but may have problems with updating the unit.
Your next option is to get another CFC. SanDisk are good ones. No need for huge capacity.
