The current update system wants both the user name and password to be numbers and characters only – no spaces, question marks, etc. For reasons that are clear to none of us, the Web-based stuff will generate names that break these rules.
If you are totally sure that you are following the above rules (and I'll be surprised) you should contact support@eventide.com, giving both your user name and password, along with the full text of any error messages.
