I would suggest setting the aux switches to FS1, FS2, FS3. This will always configure the aux switches for Preset Mode when the stompbox switches are in Play Mode or put the aux switches in Play Mode when the stompbox switches are in Preset Mode. It's automatic. This way you have the full functionality of both modes at the same time.
