It's not possible to say what caused the problem based on the information you give.
It will depend on the software version, the preset you are trying to save, where you are trying to save it, how full the card or memory is, the state of the battery, etc.
When you say you rebooted and nothing happens, what do you mean ? Is the unit totally dead ?
