Thanks for the suggestion, I went and found a Christine Wu electric violin and Eclipse video on YouTube. I wasn't at all impressed with the sound. Perhaps it's how she used it, or didn't use it.
I really quite disagree…. I am the consumer, it's my money. I shouldn't assume because Eventide is the best….that their product can do what I want. Before I would buy a $5,000 used car I would check it out. Before putting that kind of money down on anything, it's wise to know what you're getting can meet your needs.
The question is primarily around how well the harmonizer tracks. Violins are very very tough to track.
I wonder if I flew to NYC, if there's a place there I could try one????
