Unfortunately none of the above worked. I even ended up reinstalling Windows and then trying the driver from the CD before installing anything else and I still get the same problem. I'm thinking it may be some hardware fault with the firewire card in the PC (perhaps the Eventide is trying to use more bandwidth on it than its used to!), I'm going to buy a new card and give it another whirl.
