I have a Kieth McMillian Soft Step 2. (Before that I used a FCB 1010 for a long time and I had no problems with it. I did use it mostly in the studio). The softstep 2 is almost perfect. Small, (so far) sturdy, amazingly powerful. The programing is a bit difficult but once you get the hang of programing the softstep, it is logical. There has been a few issues that I did not like but so far I have found way to accomplish me demands set up in the eventide pedals. All the foot triggers on the SoftStep function really well but I have a bit of trouble with the nav pad. I believe that a different pair of shoes would sort that out.
