I got it to work in Cubase 9. and it onlty took me an hour or two.
-
I created 3 quatro (not stereo) groups
- 1 for the main signal to be processed.
- 1 for the sidechain
-
1 for EQuivocate
- On the inserts on the first two groups I added Steinbergs MixConvert.
- In MixConvert I routed the main signal group to stereo (should have worked without this, but it didn’t – which is partly why it took so long).
- I routed the output to No Bus.
- In the sidechain group I routed MixConvert to Stereo (Ls Rs).
- I routed the output to No Bus.
- in the EQuivocate group I inserted EQuivocate.
-
I routed the output to Stereo.
- Then I used send from the channels I needed to process to the first group.
- I routed the output to No Bus.
- And then I sent the channels for sidechange to the second group.
- I routed their output to Stereo.
- Then I could open EQuivocate in the last group and match the signals.
I hope the sidechain button comes soon, because this was a pain in the… yes you know 😉
