So with further experimentation, it seems to sound fine in front of the amp (still through the ES-8 and in the same loop) with minimal if any coloration or what I’ll call phasing. So that pretty much eliminates hardware issue. ?? So I wonder why it only sounds horrible in the ES-8 volume/amp loop when none of the my other pedals do?
