J20056, if your H9000R is connected directly to your computer via ethernet then Emote will be able to connect to the H9000 but it will not be able to connect to the internet to receive updates. The H9000R has to be connected to your Local Area Network via ethernet or wifi in order for it to be able to receive updates from the internet.
