You know, sometimes you just can’t see the forest for the trees.  I’ve been working all evening with UltraTap. Perhaps my favorite – a multi-algorithm if there ever was one.  And yet, it just dawned on me that this is a near-perfect fit for your application.

0 UltraTap Pan

A single beat division, with ping-pong panning, using a single Feedback control.

  • The Length is going to be ping + pong.
  • That is, instead of thinking of it as a 1/4 note ping-pong delay, consider that the total L+R Length will be 1/4 note + 1/4 note.
  • The Length (1/2 note above) is divided by the number of Taps (2 here).
  • The Width of 100 pans those two Taps full right & left.
  • For left to right, change the Width to -100.
  • The single Feedback control loops around the entire Length.

You’ll have fun later on with all those other parameters (set to neutral / minimized values here).
