Hello,
To try and simplify how this all works for you:
- Many algorithms have performance parameters such as “freeze” or “repeat” for a delay.
- The parameters are accessed by using Perform Mode: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.7.5/content/play-modes/perform.html
- For example, if you have a delay algorithm for Preset A, you can assign the A footswitch to be the “repeat” perform parameter.
- The perform parameters can also be controlled externally using an aux switch or MIDI controller that sends MIDI CC information.
- Perform parameters can be latching or momentary (M).
HotSwitches are a bit different than perform parameters, but they are turned on/off the same way using Perform Mode.
https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.7.5/content/edit-modes/parameters.html#hotswitch
I took a quick look at the GigRig2 manual and it does not mention that it can send MIDI CC messages, so I don’t think you can use that to trigger the H90’s perform parameters.
Let me know if that clears things up for you.
