Emote is a much more user friendly interface than the front panel, and editing remotely is always good. I normally launch emote as a VST from within my Ableton session when I’m using the unit on music (as opposed to developing new algorithms, where I normally use the standalone Emote which is quicker than launching Ableton first). The only 2 reasons to get a front panel is if you need to edit things in a rack, such as a mobile rig, or to ensure that you can keep operating the unit if Eventide stops Emote support for future OS’s.
