Some of the newer algorithms (Polyphony, PolySynth, Head Space, etc) have panning controls, but many of the older algorithms have fixed stereo images. We may add the option to change this behavior in a future update.
One suggestion you could try is using the pedal in Dual Mode and having Path 1 in mono by only connecting I/O 1 and Path 2 output in stereo to the rest of your stereo rig. You can use some effects in mono this way.
