Still no manual for the control app? I looked for one as recently as today. Don’t see it.
I might remind you that the labor money you spend and the deleterious effect on your reputation in dealing with the question on line are adding up. It’s cheaper in the long run with positive customer satisfaction to do it.
I’m a retired CTO and have run software development projects to $20MM. Give me something fun to do and contract it out to me. Tongue only slightly in cheek 🙂 I’ll put together a team of top notch software engineers and get it done and done right using robust proven methodologies and development practices. Speaking of which, why didn’t the manual appear on the Gantt chart for the app? I’ll sure bet it didn’t. Didn’t marketing speak up? I sure wouldn’t have let that one slip. Just get it done. That way your customers won’t be sending wtf messages and your staff won’t be working below their rate. Meanwhile, I’ll playing blind man and the elephant out here. The hardware manual is 190 pages. You can’t expect to simply not write the app manual for a device that extensive in function and then expect your customers to just figure it out. I may sound annoyed but I am. I’m here to produce music, not decipher the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Eventide has a great name and has a history of selling great standard setting products that I and others believe in for good reason. Think of Tony Agnello. We believe in you. The Harmonizer was a landmark event in audio. Don’t sully that. Write the manual or get someone like me to do it. But by all means, don’t stumble on this one.
