In H90 Control > Edit > Parameters there should be more visual indications to make editing more intuitive. Right now I have to read up on pretty much every algorithm and still sometimes fail to understand what is going on exactly.
For example, in DynaVerb, the very first knob is Mix. Easy. Except, why is it at 33 when set to 12 o’clock? Most other mix knobs although not all are at 50 when set to 12 o’clock. Is it a visual bug?
The next knob is decay. Again, pretty self explanatory. But I only found out about the omnipressor setting by pure luck. Because it only shows when turned all the way counterclockwise. Why is there no mode switch or marker or something to let me know this knob has more to offer? This is something that a lot of knobs share. They change what they do/are depending on their position.
Then we have size. This one should be greyed out or something like that when decay is set to omnipressor. Makes it easier to understand which knob relates / affects other knobs. They could also be paired up or share different colours / shapes. Anything. Resizing the window throws everything around so remembering their position is impossible as well.
On to the next knob, which is turns from gated, Omni Ratio with different numbers that then change to infinity and then to negative. What the hell? 😀 So I read up on the omnipressor. Which is cool, but not easy to use at all. And even harder in here than in the plugin, where you can at least see stuff. And even harder when there is no visual feedback of what is going on.
