To address your first post: The H9000 has seen many improvements in the past 3 years, including a suite of new algorithms designed for the ARM platform, vocal algorithms that were exclusively available for the H9000, and other top user requested features like full 96k support. The latest algorithms are some of the best that Eventide has to offer, and we are certainly taking advantage of the H9000’s power with these offerings.
The new Gen2 processors offer even more power for future development. We chose to start production on new H9000 units with new Gen2 processors to fulfill our promise of a future proof unit. We’re a small team and it was a significant effort to make this happen, but we wanted to do it in a way that was fair for existing H9000 owners so they could upgrade to match the newer H9000 units with Gen2 processors.
We’ll continue supporting the original Gen1 processors, but new and improved features will be exclusively available for the Gen2 platform. We’re not able to provide further details about new features at this point, but we are making the upgrade available now so existing users can have the same experience as new owners.
