      Are there any such presets? Can't find one on the H7600.

      What I was able to do is use a +1 oct and +2 oct shifter (preset # 5411 4_PitchShift). Then I use a high-pass filter from my digital mixer to boost the highs on the Eventide processed signal with some added analog chorus, and remove some lower frequencies. I find that the biggest problem is the low E and A, and to some extent D, as those would need a +2 oct and not +1 oct.

      As a result of this analog experimentation, which sounds kinda nice, but complex, requiring mixer, chorus hardware and so on, I was thinking of a VSigfile algorithm based on the open guitar notes in standard tuning, and their corresponding frequencies, as follows:

      1. If Dry Freq < D note, then + 2 oct at -3db (adjustable)

      2. If Dry Freq between D and G, then +1 oct but with -6db and +2 oct at -3db

      3. if Dry Freq > G then + 1 oct at -3db and +2 oct at -6db

      4. Add a nice clean chorus to the processed signal and possibly a small amount of reverb

      So the question is how to apply some gain based on the analog frequency of an incoming note or signal, and overall, how to implement this algorithm. I'm happy to try, buyt I could use some pointers. Thanks.

      This ain't easy, nor will always work fine as A and D strings note frequencies can also be played fretting E and A strings…. so it would trigger the fx when you don't need it.

      Anyway there is a PITCHDETECTOR module which has a frequency output. This is useful for frequency based "conscious" applications. Then a COMPARATOR/COMPARATOR2/C_COMPARATOR module may be used, along with some other math and control modules to realize what you need.

      So I implemented the module below. I used a low pass filter and and high pass filter instead of testing the frequencies as per my initial question. Frequencies below the low pass (typically set at 400Hz) have a +2 oct dominance and a lesser, if any, + 1oct. Frequencies above the high pass (typically set at 400Hz as well) have a + 1oct dominance and a lesser +2 oct. I also try to add a low frequency chorus on the high pass.

      So it sort of works, but the biggest problem is that there is some sort of "flubber" in the sound, can't really describe it, but it's obvious when you use the preset. I wonder if it has to do with applying EQ in combination to pitch shifting, although on whole octaves.

      It makes it kind of hard to use, unless the gain is much lower. I don't think it's due to the chorus being applied to only the shifted freqs above the high pass, as it did the same thing without the chorus.

      Dunno, if anyone has any ideas, I'm sharing the module below in case we can make it work better.

      PS: I researched what other software does, via users groups. I found a few "naive" presets on the Guitar Rig site where all they do is shift the entire signal by +1 oct and nothing else. It sounds disastrous, yet the users seem to think it sounds good. I guess they never heard an Eventide…

      Not clear why you use frequency shifters modules. Try removing them.
