Hi.
I am replacing HDX rig computer 2019 Rack Mac Pro with a Studio M3 Ultra & a Sonnettech xMac Studio. .
So am having to upgrade Anthology X to Anthology XII.
Questions;
1 – Is Anthology XII backwards compatible? [ I notice there are some “MKII” plugins in there, what happens with old sessions running the “MKI” versions ?]
2 – Do I have to surrender my Anthology X license ? In order to open old sessions on the old 2019 Rack Mac Pro set up to save settings as a work around for question 1 ? Will the Anthology XII license allow me to open Anthology X on the old rig ?
Please advise . . help much appreciated . .

Hi Josh,
While Anthology XII does not include any of the older MK I versions, the group license will still activate these versions, so your old sessions will work without issue. You can still download the Anthology X installer here to get access to the MK I versions of the plug-ins used in your older sessions. During the installation, just be sure to uncheck everything but the specific MK I versions you need to install.
Please be aware that we stopped supporting Anthology X before Avid made Apple Silicon AAX available, so if you’re using Pro Tools you will need run your older sessions in Rosetta.

Hi mcasen.
Thanks for your reply . .
That’s extremely useful to know that the Anth XII license will allow use of the Anth X plugins . . Good news . .
1 – Will I be able to save my settings in the MKi plugin on Rosetta, then import that setting into the MKii plugin on Silicone ?
2 – Is there a list of the plugins contained in Anth Xii
Best regards . . .
Josh
