The Apple H9 Control apps don’t ask for COM ports but the Windows H9 Control does. I don’t know anything about COM ports but I found the COM ports tab under Window’s Bluetooth settings. I see Incoming and Outgoing COM #s for both paired pedals, although the Incoming for one pedal is blank in the COM Port column. In any event, even after reinstalling H9 Control, clearing SysEx, resetting Bluetooth Support Services, etc., H9 Control hangs attempting to connect to an Incoming COM port and simply fails to Demo mode when connecting to an Outgoing port. I’ve removed the Bluetooth devices and re-paired them multiple times over two weeks and wonder if I am barking up the wrong tree, here. Windows seems to pair with the pedals normally, but H9 Control can’t get a handle on them.

Bluetooth works on my iPhone and MacBook from the table to the pedals but nothing from the Surface, even placed next to the pedals. This is the Surface’s built in Bluetooth; not a dongle.

Here are some of the threads I’ve looked through in hope of finding a solution. Am I missing a piece?

Not encouraging……but I never had a reliable connection with my H9 and my Surface Pro 4s onboard bluetooth. I gave up.

With one of the specified dongles I had better luck….although it had enough intermittent failures that I eventually got a dedicated iPad.
