Blackhole midi preset change?

How can I change Blackhole presets in ableton using a midi controller? I use a midi dummy clip to send program change messages on another VST, but you suggest we use the preset interface within the plugin itself.

I can use chains to switch presets, but that uses more instances & processing power.

It’s not possible to load the plug-ins native presets using PC messages.

If your DAW can support loading presets via PC messages for 3rd party plug-ins,  then that would be the best way to do it.

Otherwise, you could send automation data to change the parameters you need instead of loading different presets.

Can you pass the idea on to your developers? Having to change using a mouse is so clumsy. Ableton allows for what you suggest, but the preset list isn’t populated.

Send automation data? That’s what presets are for!

Sure I can make that suggestion, but I can’t promise that this feature will be added.

In the meantime, you can populate the preset list in Live and that should allow you to achieve that setup.

I have created a folder and saved presets into it, which I can access through the plugin window. However, these do not show as a drop-down in the ableton window ;(
