I’m considering buying a Blackhole reverb pedal. However, I currently run a “doubled” stereo signal into my time-based effects. To do this, I use a TC Electronic Mimiq to split the signal into two channels (one dry, one slightly time and pitch-shifted) before my stereo time-based effects.
I know that the Blackhole has stereo capabilities, but I’ve also heard that the stereo input signal is summed before creating a new stereo wet signal. I’m concerned that re-summing a stereo signal after the mimiq will create phase issues or comb filtering in the signal feeding the blackhole processor, resulting in a sub-par wet sound.
Is there any workaround for this? Perhaps some way for the blackhole to only read one input, but still maintain the stereo dry signal and mix it in with the stereo wet signal? Another workaround you know of besides just turning off the mimiq?
Thanks,
