How can I switch the H 90 to bypass/active via midi?
Maybe I do not understand the extern control menu. Sorry for that.

- For [P]rogram Active / Bypass, go to System settings, and Select MIDI. Turn Select to the 3rd page – Global Ctl.
- Turn the Quick Knob 1 – Parameter all the way down to [P] Act/Byp.
- Turn Quick Knob 2 to choose your CC#.
- Confirm by pressing the Perform switch.

Hi, thanks for the advice.
So far it works. I would prefer to define a value for the controller so that I can use it more specific to bypass/activate the pedal.
For example: cc102, biiger than 65 =active, smaller than 65 = bypass.
Or use two cc´s: one for activate, one for bypass.
Is that possible?

Hey Thesse,
First, make sure you have your H90 receiving and MIDI controller transmitting channels set…
You can set the H90 receive channel by going to “System” and selecting the “Settings” tab. Lower left you will find the MIDI mapping & sync stuff.
Then, while in the System page, select “External Control” tab… There you’ll see a listing of all H90 mappable parameters.
Find “P Act/Byp (M)” … Set the MIDI CC# in the MIDI CC Field (I use 0 for putting the H90 in full bypass, CC#1 for “A Act/Byp” to bypass of Alg A and CC#2 for CC#1 for “B Act/Byp” of Alg B) … Now you can set your controller transmit channel and CC’s appropriately.
Best,

PS:
0-63 = BYP
64-127 = ACT

Hi RikjCarty,
I have tried your suggestions:
H90 does not respond to values of the cc#:
If I use cc2 for example, each time I trigger the cc2, H90 turns into bypass/active status idenpently from the value of the cc#.
The result of the midi trigger is dependent of the statutus of the H90.
That is difficult in song context.
Hor do you manage to get the values of the cc# working?

Are you sure you are using “P Act/Byp (M)” and not “P Act/Byp”?
When using “P Act/Byp (M)”, the bypassed state will be triggered with a CC value less than 64, the active state will be triggered with a CC value of 64 or greater.

Ahh this was the missing link! Was trying to trigger active/bypass separately and couldn’t figure out how! Thanks!

Hi,
thanks for the hint. Now it works!
Would be fine to find this in the manual.
