can we Tap Tempo in preset mode? please help

I have a question regarding my eventide timefactor. will someone please kindly help me.

Actually, can we somehow tap the tempo in Preset mode? or must we use external tempo pedal like Boss fs5u on the Auxilary switch jack to be able to do that? what is Global tempo setting explained in the manual? is it supposed to enable the tap tempo in the preset setting?

 Hello,

The way to tap tempo while the stompbox is in Preset Mode would be either to use an external Aux Switch or use a MIDI controller to send MIDI CC data.

The Global Tempo setting, when activated, will override saved tempo values in your presets and always use the currently tapped tempo when you load a new preset.
