      Hi all

I’m exploring the use of CV as expression pedal on the H9 but I know next to nothing about it as I have had no exposure to analog synth.

What I have is a DOD FX-17 which has a 1/8″ CV output. The output is 0-5V but I’m sure the two trimpots can take this down to 3V.

How do I connect this to the H9? Is it just a normal shielded 1/8″ to 1/4″ mono cable? Or does it need a figure 8 cable?

      Cheers

      Edo

This may be more complex than you think. Basically, the H9 expects an expression pedal.

If you want to use an AUX switch as well, carefully study the relevant information on our Web Site.

If you just want to use the CV, you can probably just plug a 1/4" mono jack into the H9. The H9 has a pullup of 10K to 3V – you must check with the CV manufacturer as to whether this is OK.

You will probably have to autocalibrate as described in the UM.

Thanks Nick! Not planning on using the Aux switch along with the CV. Looks like it’s worth a try, Thanks!

You gotta tell us if this worked, Edo.. and what you did with it.
