Eclipse AES / EBU out as thru of my word clock

Hi there,

 

I’m setting up my devices with word clock: at the moment my RME UFX II is connected to the Eclipse with a AES / EBU Cable …

 

My RME is the master, the Eclipse is the slave … everything is fine, the word clock is locked at 48 Khz.

 

Now … what if I want to add a third device at my word clock ?

 

Can I connect another AES / EBU Cable from the Eclipse to my new devices ? The OUT is working as a “THRU” ?

 

Should I connect the third device with another cable (a different one / protocol) to my RME ?

Yes, you should be able to daisy chain wordclock, though it is device dependent. Most devices support it though.
