Is there a way to mute the eclipse or activate it via foot switch from my pedalboard?

You can do that with the footswitch/pedal jacks on rear panel of the Eclipse

Ok, does the foot switch need to be a TRS type or or just a standard mono dpdt type of switch? ( like an old fender single foot switch? ) Also is there something special that needs to be done in the settings?
id prefer a latching style instead of momentary style switch. Is there something in the boss foot switches that would work?

            thanks

Ok, will a standard TS mono footswitch work? I’ve read the manual but I have wired other effects units  to be muted via a footswitch using a 3pdt switch with led.
If it needs to be a stereo switch with a 5 volt supply via resistor on my 9 volt power input, I will have to figure out how to transfer the 5volts from ring to tip and vice versa. Do you have any diagrams on how to wire that or possibly a footswitch from one of the manufacturers you would suggest?

Ok help me understand how to use a footswitch to bypass the eclipse when not in use on other songs from a pedalboard.
if I use a footswitch that toggles continuity between tip / sleeve and ring / sleeve. Will this toggle the 5 volts between the tip and the sleeve depending on footswitch position?
I know I would then have to calibrate and then use the bypass setup menus on the eclipse.

The Eclipse doesn’t require a special aux switch. Any aux switch should work fine.

There are some details for making an 3-button aux switch in a thread here: https://www.eventideaudio.com/forums/topic/i-am-making-my-own-3-way-aux-switch/

Otherwise, you should be able to find some simple options searching for “DIY aux switch”.

There is a calibration menu in the settings that will let you confirm if your switch is working or not.

<span style=”font-size: inherit;”>I am just trying to be able to mute the eclipse when not in use. I just need a simple one button that can either mute or unmute that allows other rack units signal to pass through. On my pedalboard I have a combination stomp box switcher and switches that mute other rack mount devices. It’s the long box between the Wah pedal and the Boss Harmonist (which is no longer on the pedalboard) the 3 buttons on the left, one is pitch to mute the eventide, the cathedral mutes the lexicon pcm70, the DDLS is the dual delay and mutes both Roland SDE 3000’s simultaneously. They are all mono for now, but it’s my understanding per the manual that a stereo TRS is needed for the eclipse. If a standard mono cable can be used then I will be fine and I know how to setup calibrate and assign the function for the footswitch. I am just trying to find out if a standard mono footswitch will pork or if I need a stereo jack input to toggle the 5 volts the eclipse provides from the tip to the ring or can a standard mono jack work.
</span>I am only using the eclipse for micro pitch function of + 9 cents for 1 channel and -9 cents for the second channel.
all else fails I do have a foot pedal stomp box eventide harmonizer pitch factor that I can run to my line mixer.

A mono (TS) connection from that footswitch should work for the Eclipse. Please try that and see if it works using the calibration menu.

I have a Hosa  dual latching footswitch with a single TRS jack but I was looking for a single footswitch to simply switch from mute to unmuted.
still googling how wire 3pdt to trs output jack. Just need to know if the eclipse does the 5 volt or do I need to wire the switch to be 5 volt.
                        thanks

                          Thanks I will try that.
