        Hi there,

I have 2 Eclipse one with softawre 4.01 and the other one with 4.04.

On 4.01 all seems to work ok.

On 4.04 I didn’t try all the presets but some of them produce no wet signal, just the direct signal pass thru the machine. For example the 801, and others above 801. Not all of them but some presets tthat seem to have nothing in common.

Can this issue come from the micro OS version 4.04 vs 4.01 ?

I purchased the 4.04 without thinking of difference of behavior due to nothing apparent.

Another surprise : in 4.04 the preset 192 “Tuner” has a different interface and is more easy to handle. But that’s just a detail I would gladly exchange to have my not working presets work again…

I didn’t install 4.04 on this Ecllipse. The former owner did it. Would it be worth the effort to downgrade the OS to 4.01 ?

        Best,

        André

          Hello,

Where are you seeing the 4.04 version number displayed? I am not seeing any release notes or details about Eclipse firmware beyond 4.0.1 (but it could exist).

Have you tried adjust and of the routing or mix settings on the unit you are having issues with?

            Thanks for your answer.

I see “4.04” during the boot process. Like I see 4.01 when the valid Eclipse starts up

I didn’t know of any 4.04 release either

I tried mix settings and “nothing changes” (I mean it acts between full dry signal and complete silence). When I dial 100 % wet, there is no sound. At 0 % I hear all the initial sound. But I didn’t try to change routing settings. It may help me to understand. I’m gonna try that tomorrow morning if I can, or in the afternoon, thank you, I’ll post the result that happens with this tip.

              Hi,

That was a good idea to advise me to check routings.

First it only happens when routings is on “series”. That’s how I discovered that some program are suspect. When I set the preset to parallels i have an effect. Or when I switch the suspect block off, the preset works “on one leg”, with only a block.

I didn’t check all the presets but some of the bad block can be identified, like m_chorusdelays

The “only” difference between my two Eclipse is the version of the OS (“powering on 4.04”).

Would it be possible to downgrade the OS of the Eclipse. Is it worht it ?

I tested all the presets where on can find m_chorusdelays in serie (~ 20) before preset #500 and there are no issue with these presets !

Problems start at preset #801 …

Too weird for me, I give up unless someone has the same issue.

                  Hi again,

Thanks for following up with the additional information. I could provide you with instructions to install a different firmware version on the Eclipse and that may resolve the issue.
