I have a question about the EQ Compressor Algorithm. When I enable Compressor, the volume actually decreases, and the volume on the amplifier becomes inactive; means I can’t increase the volume of the channel. Is it possible to know what could be the reason for this?
I have the effect connected in the Effect Loop. When the volume level went down when I turned up the compression, I wanted to raise the volume of the channel on the amp, but the level remained the same no matter where I turned the knob.
If you turn the gain on the channel up, you are increasing the volume into the H90, and the compressor will counteract this by further reducing the volume as the input gets louder.
You are fighting the compressor.
Either turn up the trim knob in the compressor (will add volume after the compression), set the compressor knob closer to 0 (less gain reduction), or both.
In my experience, this compressor WAY more powerful than typical guitar compressors. You could try setting the compression VERY low and raising it if desired. Good luck!
