Hi guys, looking for advice for routing options to combine the hx stomp with an eventide H90.

Currently I have them routed as this (in dual routing mode):

Guitar into H90 input 1 then to HX stomp input. Then, HX stomp FX send to H90 input 3 and then H90 output 3 to HX Stomp FX return.

With this, path 1 goes after my amp and cab sim and path 2 is in a fx loop block after the amp sim.

But, what if I want to put a hx stomp block and after the effects from path 1 from the h90? Is it possible to use the send and return blocks to specifically put effects from path 1 after a block but before the amp/cab sim, instead of hitting the stomp directly through the input?

Could you draw a diagram of what you are trying to accomplish? Sorry, but it’s not clear to me from what you describe.

It sounds like the H90 Path 1 is the first thing in your chain (you mention the guitar is connected to input 1) so H90 Path 1 will be fixed before anything else.

If H90 Path 2 is in the loop of your HX Stomp, then you’ll need to configure where that path is in the signal chain using the HX Stomp’s routing.

You may find that putting the HX stomp in the insert path of the H90 can achieve different routing options, but there are a lot of ways to go about this so I’m not sure what to suggest yet.

Sorry, I may have spelled incorrectly.

My goal is to set path 1 and path 2 in different parts of the signal chain of the hx stomp.

With my current setup, is as you described, the path 1 is the first thing in my chain. What I was wondering is, if I want to put an eventide fuzz (placed in in path 1) after an overdrive block of the stomp, I thought that I may need two fx loop blocks in the stomp, but one of each with the corresponding path of the h90 (that is, path 1 and path 2). What I don’t know if this is possible with the in and outs of the H90 and the stereo fx loop from the stomp.

It looks like the HX stomp only has a single FX loop that can be either mono or stereo, so you cannot have both of the H90 paths being used as separate FX loops.

What if you used one of the H90’s paths after the HX Stomp instead of before? That would allow you to have more flexibility with the drive placements, and then the other path of the H90 can be used for post FX like delays/reverbs etc.
