Anyone else experience a faulty switch – sometimes unresponsive?
My tap button was acting up so I switched it out with a good quality momentary switch from small bear. Man do I hate those PCB plastic switches! Had same issues with my Line 6 DL4 (same flimsy plastic momentary PCB button)… I just don't trust them. I'm thinking about just replacing all 3 with good quality ones now.
I know it would cost Eventide a couple bucks more for good quality switches. I love my TF, but please Eventide… put some good switches in your pedal!

You want to make these products more expensive ?
We did have a run of bad switches a while back – if you think you have them, contact support@eventide.com

I hear ya… hope the switches don't cause issues down the line from years of wear and tear. People want to keep the price down as much as possible so something's gotta give.

Look, I'm not asking for a unit to be $20 more for better hardware – not even $10. I did a quick "google shopping" search sorted by price and found some for $2.30 each ($2 if you buy in bulk).
The math – less whatever the current hardware is – like $2-3 per unit? I admit, I'm not in manufacturing – maybe it's the labor that's the factor… whatever, I can't say what the company should and shouldn't do.
Just want to give some feedback though and see if others have had similar issues. Peterson is a great example of how they listened to their customers and had the opportunity to change things. People gave their thoughts on the cheaper plastic jacks they were using and the company found a way to upgrade their components without charging more per unit. I for one would like to see the TF upgraded with better footswitches – that's all.

Small joke. Sorry. Won't do it again. Not a laughing matter …
Please re-read my posting – you will note that I said we had had a problem with a batch of switches in the past – we believe this to be now resolved. If you think you have bad switches please contact support@eventide.com

Old post, but would you possibly have a link to the footswitch you bought?
