Eventide VST3 plug-ins not showing up in DAW

Hi All,

I recently purchased the H910 Harmonizer, however only the VST2 version is available in my DAW (Cakewalk).  I have a few other Eventide plug-ins and they are not showing up either.  I have done the registration and iLok activation, as well as the VST scan in Cakewalk, but the VST3 version of the H910 is a no show.

Any ideas why?

Hello Living Room Rocker, 

Can you please check that all the VST3 plug-ins are "enabled" in the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager?

Thanks for the response.  That’s the thing, they don’t show up in under the VSTi3 section of CW’s Plug-in Manager.  Only the VST2s show in the VSTi section.

Let me correct myself and point out, I meant VST3 and VST respectively and not VSTi3 and VSTi.

I did another installation on top of the current VST3 install and it took this time.  The H910 now shows under the effects.  Sorry for the trouble.

I hate ilok. Nothing but problems. My plugin is registered but on eventide it shows up with 0 activations, the plugin does not show up anywhere in reaper or davinci resolve 20. I have uninstalled spring and pace and reinstalled 3-4 times.

I experienced a similar issue in Ableton Live. I installed Shimmer and (I think because of some problems with the activation) the VST3 was not visible. Multiple reinstalls didn’t help either. It was visible in Reaper though.

My fix was to quit live, delete Live’s plugin database and start it again (https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000794970-Resetting-Live-s-Database).

I deleted all files, but I guess the plugin database would have been enough.

After that is rescanned all plugins and all versions of the Eventide plugins were there.

I got Temperance free and IMPOSIBLE to activate in Studio One 7 pro !!!!!

So, Possibly interested in other of your software but, hello, I’ll look elsewhere…

Dear Eventide team, I solved this problem myself. Please share this simple solution with Studio One  users:

If vst appears active in ilok, cut the Temperance Lite.vst3 folder from the Program Files/Common Files/VST3/Eventide folder and paste it into the Program Files/Common Files/VST3 folder.

This will allow Studio One to detect the invisible plugin.

My problem is that Temperance does not appear in my Ilok, so when I start Studio One 7, an Evantide popup opens and asks me for my Ilok ID and password, which I enter, and it does not work because, I repeat, Temperance is not in my Ilok and I do not know how to make it appear…

And just because this plugin is free doesn’t mean Eventide shouldn’t provide the solution!

Sorry for the issues you are having.

This sounds like there may have been an issue when you registered the license if it isn’t showing up in your iLok.
